Life Covenant
Accepted applicants will sign an initial two-year contract to live and work in Tamura with a team of other English teachers. The possibility of staying longer than two years can be discussed. The following compensation and benefits are provided: A monthly salary starting around 300,000 yen to cover food, apartment, basic utilities, low-cost medical coverage, taxes, etc. Most of our teachers can also save a significant amount of money from their salaries, pay student loans, travel, etc. Additionally, round-trip airfare to and from Japan is covered.
Interviews are generally conducted each year in the fall. New teachers usually arrive in Japan around the first of April following an orientation in late March. However, teachers can be interviewed and hired year-round.
Requirements for applicants:
A four-year college degree in any subject
US or Canadian citizen
A two-year commitment
A commitment to Christ
A desire to serve as a missionary/teacher or teaching assistant.
