ALT vs. Wakakusa Teacher

There are two teaching roles: ALT (Assistant Language Teacher) and Wakakusa English School Teacher.

Wakakusa English School Teachers mainly work at our school and plan and teach most of their lessons. ALTs mainly assist English classes at public elementary and junior high schools, working with a Japanese Teacher of English (JTE).

Both roles focus on improving students’ conversational English by meeting student needs and adapting lessons. Teachers should also reflect on their teaching and keep improving.
